Subtitle Desk Pro and API (coming soon)
Subtitle Desk’s tools are free and run in your browser. We are planning a paid Pro plan and an API for people who deliver subtitles and video every week as part of their job — captioners, localisation teams, post-production and video agencies. Neither is available yet. If they sound useful, leave your email below and we will tell you when they open.
What stays free
- Every tool on this site, with all of its settings: the subtitle converters, the SRT editor, maker and checker, the subtitle shifter and frame-rate converter, subtitle extraction from MKV and MP4, and the bitrate and file-size calculators.
- Local processing. Subtitle files and videos you open in a free tool stay in your browser and are never uploaded.
- No sign-up and no limit on how often you use a tool.
What Pro and the API would add
- Batch work: drop a folder (or a ZIP) of subtitle files and get every file converted, re-timed or cleaned with the same settings, in one download.
- Delivery checks in bulk: reading speed, line length, line count, minimum and maximum duration, gaps and overlaps checked for many files at once, with one report you can send to a client.
- An HTTP API: convert between SRT, WebVTT, SBV, ASS and TTML and run the same checks from your own scripts or publishing pipeline.
We have not set prices. Joining the waitlist does not commit you to anything.
